Early in the fight, Hrgovic landed big right hands almost at will, with Dubois having limited success. Hrgovic became affected by a cut near his right eye, which seemed to change the course of the fight, with the English fighter taking control with his excellent pressure tactics. “Dynamite” didn’t rush his work and picked his shots impressively. The Croatian was saved by the bell at the end of round seven – after a huge right hand stunned him. The referee soon paused the action and stopped the fight on the advice of the ringside physician, awarding Dubois the eighth-round TKO victory.
