Isaac Cruz vs. Nestor Bravo fight recap
Isaac Cruz (29-3-2, 19 KOs) had to deal with plenty of fouling from Nestor Bravo (24-2, 17 KOs, 1 NC), but ultimately won by sixth round knockout.
The official time of stoppage was 1:30. Cruz returns to the win column after drawing in his last fight against Lamont Roach Jr. Note: Cruz holds an interim version of the WBC super lightweight world title and made a successful defence of it. Dalton Smith is the actual titleholder.
Despite Bravo initiating a number of clinches in the opening round, Cruz was able to score a knockdown after landing a right hook to the body. Unfortunately for everyone watching, the bout in its entirety was a tough watch. Bravo was deducted a point in round two for excessive holding. He lost another in the fourth for throwing Cruz onto the canvas. There was plenty of holding for the duration of the fight, as well as several instances where either was pushed down onto the canvas.
During the times there was no fouling, Cruz pressed forward aggressively and landed hard shots. A left hook upstairs in round six sent Bravo to the canvas. He was unable to beat the referee’s count, putting an end to proceedings.

Undercard results
Daniel Blancas (16-0, 8 KOs) won via seventh round technical knockout against Sergio Jimenez (17-2-1, 15 KOs). The official time of stoppage for this 10-round super middleweight fight was 1:38. Referee Ray Corona put an end to proceedings after deeming that Jimenez had taken too much punishment.

Marco Verde (7-0, 4 KOs) won via fifth round technical knockout against Guillermo Hernández (7-1, 4 KOs). The official time of stoppage for this eight-round middleweight contest was 1:46. Verde was ruled knocked down in the third after a couple of straight punches to the upper body, although it appeared on replay that he had been tripped. Referee David Solivan put an end to proceedings in round five after deeming that Hernández had taken too much punishment.

Opening the broadcast on DAZN, Eumir Marcial (8-0, 4 KOs) won via third round knockout againt Omar Huerta (15-2-1, 13 KOs). The official time of stoppage for this eight-round middleweight bout was 1:08. Huerta was knocked down by a counter right hook to the head and unable to beat the count of referee Thomas Taylor.
