Jarrell Miller recent form
Jarrell Miller’s professional boxing career has been anything but dull. He has been popped for PEDs on more than one occasion and has been subsequently banned. Since returning in 2022, he has been largely inactive, but has recorded a win over Lucas Browne and fought to a majority draw with Andy Ruiz. He returned recently on the Teofimo Lopez vs Shakur Stevenson undercard, earning a split decision against Kingsley Ibeh. That fight will be forever remembered for his toupee coming off mid-fight!
Lenier Pero recent form
Pero (13-0, 8 KOs) enjoyed an impressive amateur career, winning many gold medals. Since turning professional, it has been relatively plain sailing for the Cuban as he works his way up the rankings. Miller will undoubtedly be his toughest test so far.
He has three stoppage wins in his last five fights. Last time out, he defeated Jordan Thompson by unanimous decision, with Thompson’s height causing Pero some issues, but the Cuban’s quality shone through, and he deserved the win.
Jarrell Miller vs Lenier Pero
Pero is a southpaw with a great amateur pedigree. He’s a talented counter-puncher and will need to be at his best to make Miller second-guess his next move. Pero’s body work will be vital in slowing down the high work rate of Miller. The Cuban picks his punches well and wastes little.
Miller will look to get close to Pero and use his size to wear the Cuban down. Pero will need to get his body shots off as Miller comes in to slow him down. We are backing the high ring IQ of Lenier Pero to triumph via a competitive unanimous decision. Miller will make the Cuban work, but we’re backing him to come through the fire.
