At Allegiant Stadium on September 13, Terence Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs) defeated Canelo Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs) by unanimous decision.

This historic win saw Crawford become a three-division undisputed champion and four-division lineal champion.

In the wake of this impressive achievement, Keyshawn Davis spoke to Fight Hub TV and answered the question of “Bud” belonging on the boxing Mount Rushmore.

It was a cagey opening few rounds, with Crawford moving well and Canelo trying to close the distance, landing the occasional hook.

As the rounds progressed, “Bud” picked his punches impressively while staying mobile, avoiding significant counters.

Crawford did sustain a cut later in the fight, but it didn’t slow him down; he continued to box diligently and fire off eye-catching combinations. “Bud” deserved the win and the judges saw he did enough, awarding him a unanimous decision win with cards of 116-112 and 115-113 (x2).

Speaking to Fight Hub TV, Davis discussed the fight and the GWOAT status of “Bud” Crawford:

“Canelo couldn’t really keep up with him. He was too fast, his feet. Footwork was too good.”

When asked about the scorecards and if he thought they were accurate, Davis said: “Yeah, that’s about right. I feel like Bud damn near basically won every round. But yeah, that’s about right. You can say that.”

Keyshawn was then asked if, following this win, Crawford now belongs on the boxing Mount Rushmore: “Three-time undisputed. He just beat Canelo. The face of boxing. So now you can say “Bud” is the face of boxing.”

When asked if he feels Crawford is the greatest of all-time: “Greatest of all-time” said Davis without delay.

Crawford was one of the most decorated boxers before this fight, but many doubted his resume. This can’t be doubted anymore. He now has the superstar name on his record, alongside the impressive wins against Errol Spence and Viktor Postol, among others.
