After a pedestrian opening round, Clarke increased the tempo and began to put his shots together and move out of danger. Clarke continued on the front foot for the rest of the fight and showcased some good work. Hardy showed his toughness and did well to survive until the end. Jack Rafferty vs Mark Chamberlain

Following the completion of an entertaining undercard, it was time for Jack Rafferty vs Mark Chamberlain for Rafferty’s British and Commonwealth super lightweight titles. During the opening three rounds, Chamberlain (17-1-1, 12 KOs) boxed with poise and picked his shots impressively, having good success with the straight 1-2. Rafferty (26-0-1, 17 KOs) continued to walk forward and had success with his trademark right hand.

Despite sustaining two cuts in the opening four rounds, the man from Portsmouth continued to fight impressively, but Rafferty was relentless. At the halfway point, it appeared the power and accuracy from Chamberlain were making Rafferty second-guess himself. The fifth round was a strong one for the “Demolition Man,” who appeared to be increasing the pressure.

As the fight progressed, so did the pressure from Rafferty; Chamberlain continued to work smartly off the back foot. The ninth round was a strong round for the champion as he targeted the body of Chamberlain, who still fired back but looked to be tiring. The tenth round had some great back-and-forth action with both fighters having their moments.

Despite the increased pressure from Rafferty, Chamberlain enjoyed a really good eleventh round, moving and picking his shots with confidence. The final round saw both fighters have their moments and continue to trade heavy shots until the final bell. Blood and guts aplenty and a great advert for British boxing. The judges’ scorecards read 115-114 for Chamberlain, while the other two cards read 114-114 x2, meaning Rafferty retains his titles. Sign me up for the rematch. What a great fight that was.

Jack Turner vs Nicolas Agustin Muguruza

Next up, fighting for the WBA international super flyweight title was Jack Turner (12-0, 11 KOs) vs Nicolas Agustin Muguruza (11-1, 6 KOs). It was a cagey opening round from Turner, with Muguruza having success with the 1-2. The success for the Argentine fighter continued over the next couple of rounds as he looked to walk forward, keep his guard high, and throw eye-catching combinations. The Liverpudlian had his moments and looked much better in the fourth as he held his feet and landed some heavy shots, but the 27-year-old Argentine ended the round strongly, closing the distance and having success.

Muguruza seemed to be taking the power of Turner well until round six, when the Liverpool fighter landed a huge left hook, knocking the Argentine down and turning the fight on its head. It was a great shot, and Turner smelled blood and pounced, landing a heavy flurry, with a left hook once again doing the damage. Despite making it to his feet, the referee waved the fight off, awarding Turner the sixth-round TKO win, ensuring he retains his WBA international super flyweight belt. A tough fight, in which Turner will learn a lot.

Lewis Richardson vs Artjom Spatar

Next up in the middleweight division was Great Britain Olympian Lewis Richardson (2-0, 0 KOs) vs Artjom Spatar (5-17-1, 1 KOs). Richardson started brightly, moving well and picking his shots sharply. The referee’s scorecard read 60-54 in favour of the Essex fighter.

Zak Miller vs Leon Woodstock

In the first fight of the Jack Rafferty vs Mark Chamberlain DAZN broadcast, Zak Miller (16-1, 3 KOs) faced Leon Woodstock (16-4, 7 KOs) for Miller’s Commonwealth featherweight title. The opening round saw Miller begin strongly, establishing his jab and landing some nice combinations. A cut sustained by Woodstock in the first round seemed to spur him on as he came forward in the second, looking to land a big right hand.

Despite the pressure tactics from Woodstock, the jab of Miller and punch selection were the difference in the early rounds. Despite Woodstock having his moments, Miller continued to produce the cleaner, more eye-catching work. The championship rounds saw Woodstock continue to come forward, but the footwork and punch variation from Miller were the clear difference. A great fight with plenty of guts and thunder. It went to the scorecards, which read: 117-111 and 117-112 x2, giving Miller the unanimous decision win to retain his Commonwealth featherweight title.

Nelson Birchall vs Federico Pedraza

Nelson Birchall (9-0, 6 KOs) vs Federico Pedraza (14-5-1, 2 KOs) was next up in the super featherweight division. A first-round KO win for the 20-year-old Morecambe fighter.

Charlie Senior vs Darwing Martinez

It was a relatively dominant opening two rounds from Senior as he looked good when working off his jab. His hand speed and variation also impressed, but Martinez did have his moments with single shots in the first six minutes.
The Nicaraguan landed some well-timed left hooks in the fifth round to remind Senior he was still a threat. The 2024 Olympic bronze medallist boxed astutely in the final round, taking no risks, ensuring he cruised to a 60-54 victory.

Steven Cairns vs Kirk Stevens

In the next fight up, it was Steven Cairns (12-0, 8 KOs) vs Kirk Stevens (7-5-1, 0 KOs) in the lightweight division. It was a measured start from Cairns, who was happy to let Stevens come forward. Cairns continued to be on top, and during the fourth round, the Irish fighter began to increase the tempo, landing some heavy-looking body shots. Cairns also scored a knockdown from a left hand to confirm his dominance in the round. The stoppage came in the fifth round, with more heavy body shots forcing two more knockdowns, with the referee waving the fight off after the second knockdown.
