Taylor’s WBO, IBF, and WBA super lightweight world titles will be on the line. The WBC belt, which had become vacant due to Sandy Ryan’s pregnancy, will also be at stake.

Katie Taylor vs. Flora Pili fight recap

Katie Taylor (26-1, 6 KOs) ended her career with a unanimous decision win over Flora Pili (12-1, 2 KOs).

Scores were 100-90 (x2) and 98-91. Taylor became the undisputed super lightweight world champion with the victory. She entered the bout as the WBA, WBO, and IBF titlist. Taylor added the WBC belt after defeating Pili.

Pili started off on the back foot waiting for her opponent to throw so that she could counter. Taylor was on the front foot, but did not take the bait and stood an arm’s length away from the Frenchwoman. There was plenty of feinting between the two with neither doing anything risky. Taylor threw one punch at a time, outworking Pili by being slightly busier.


As the fight progressed, Taylor began throwing flurries. She found success with this as her opponent’s activity remained limited. Pili increased her output in round seven and was now on the front foot. Taylor did not seem particularly bothered by this, staying defensively sound and darting in and out to land her shots.

Both women swung at each other in the closing seconds of the tenth and final round. Pili may have increased her work rate towards the end, but Taylor had clearly outworked her over 10. The Irishwoman used her experience and skillset to get the better of Pill and end her career as an undisputed world champion.

Undercard on DAZN results

Thomas Carty (11-1, 9 KOs, 1 NC) and Dave Allen (27-9-2, 20 KOs, 1 NC) fought to a no-contest. The official time of stoppage for this 10-round heavyweight clash was 1:22. Carty fell out of the ring and was unable to continue fighting.


Paddy Donovan (16-2, 12 KOs) won via fifth round technical knockout against Tyrone McKenna (25-7-1, 8 KOs). The official time of stoppage for this 10-round welterweight bout was 2:33. Donovan scored a knockdown in the second with a right hook to the body. McKenna got cut by his right eye, causing referee Paul McCullagh to pause the action in round four. A ringside physician put an end to proceedings after examining the cut.


Taylor Bevan (10-0, 9 KOs) won via sixth round knockout against Emmet Brennan (6-1, 1 KO). The official time of stoppage for this 10-round super middleweight contest was 0:36. Brennan was dropped in the third by a left hook to the head and once more shortly after from two overhand rights. A left hook to the body in round five knocked him down for the third time in the fight. Two left hooks to the body in the sixth sent Brennan down once again. Although he got up, he was dropped for a fifth time by a right hook upstairs. Referee Padraig O’Reachtagain put an end to proceedings after that.

Molly McCann (5-0, 1 KO) won a unanimous decision against Sylwia Doligala (8-3-2, 0 KOs). Scores for this eight-round bantamweight clash were 80-72, 80-73, and 79-73.

Joe McGrail (14-0, 7 KOs) won via fifth round knockout against Matthew Boreland (7-1, 2 KOs). The official time of stoppage for this 10-round super bantamweight contest was 3:00. Boreland was sent to the canvas by a left hook to the body. He was unable to beat the count of referee O’Reachtagain.


Bobbi Flood (4-0, 2 KOs) won on points against Jack Swallow (4-14-1, 1 KO). Referee David John Irving scored the four-round super welterweight fight 40-36.

Adam Olaniyan (4-0, 4 KOs) won via first round knockout against Matej Hudak (6-3, 6 KOs). The official time of stoppage for this four-round heavyweight bout was 3:00. Hudak was dropped by a right hook, left uppercut, and a right hook upstairs. He failed to beat the count of referee Emile Tiedt.


Opening the broadcast on YouTube, Paul Ryan (12-2, 4 KOs) won on points against Paddy Gallagher (17-7-1, 10 KOs). Referee McCullagh scored this six-round middleweight clash 58-55.

Note: The result of this fight was incorrectly read as being 58-55 in favour of Gallagher. It has since been changed to 58-55 in favour of Ryan.
