Moses let his hands go in the second round, dictating the tempo, landing eye-catching flurries. Moses landed a peach of a left hand in the third round, backing the Mexican up.

The body work from the Newark fighter began to pay dividends as the rounds progressed, and at the end of round five, referee Harvey Dock had seen enough and waved the fight off, awarding Zaquin Moses the victory in front of his home town.
