Moses Itauma Gives Brutal Honest Verdict on Filip Hrgovic vs David Adeleye

Hrgovic (18-1, 14 KOs) vs Adeleye (14-1, 13 KOs) is an intriguing heavyweight contest, where the winner will move on to bigger fights, while the loser will struggle to obtain the more lucrative opportunities. The Croatian will be eager to make it two wins in a row following his tough victory over Joe Joyce. This is undoubtedly a huge step up for the Brit, whose one defeat came against Fabio Wardley. He was due to defend the British title in an immediate rematch with Jeamie TKV after their controversial first meeting, where Adeleye appeared to land a shot on the break. The referee had just moved TKV’s hand away, leaving him exposed for the stoppage in round six.

Asked for his thoughts on the upcoming Filip Hrgovic vs David Adeleye clash, headliner, Moses Itauma gave a blunt assessment of the levels between the two heavyweights: “I think you actually going to really see that Hrgovic. You’re actually going to really see that difference of levels. I feel like David’s done a very good job of convincing people he’s a lot better than he is.
“And I don’t mean that disrespectfully. Like, I think he’s a cool guy. I just think his boxing level isn’t as good as what people think, and that’s because he packs power, which kind of overshines the skill level. But when you’re actually there with a skillful guy who’s been in the ring with people that can punch, I think you’re going to really see the difference.”
