5 Spanish Boxers to Watch in 2025
Several Spanish boxers have achieved notable success in the sport of boxing, including the country’s first world champion Baltasar Sangchili, through to the more modern-day Spanish pugilists like Kiko Martinez. With interest in boxing and betting in Spain continuing to be popular, here are five of the best Spanish boxers to watch in 2025.
Five Spanish Boxers to Watch in 2025
Sandor Martin
The first fighter on our five Spanish boxers to watch list is Sandor Martin (42-4, 15 KOs). Born in Barcelona, Martin has competed at the highest level, just falling short in his bid for a world title, losing by split decision to Teofimo Lopez and Alberto Puello.
Martin has been largely inactive in recent years, but on his day, he’s an awkward opponent for anyone in the super lightweight division. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the 31-year-old.
Jennifer Miranda
Next up is Jennifer Miranda (12-1, 1 KO). Born in Cadiz, Miranda made her professional debut in 2018, winning her first 11 fights in her home country. She then signed with Most Valuable Promotions and made her promotional debut on the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3 undercard against Alycia Baumgardner. It was a fight she ultimately lost, but she competed well against Baumgardner and should return to action under the MVP banner.
Samuel Molina
Samuel Molina (32-3, 15 KOs), born in Malaga, has mixed at a good level, winning the Spanish super lightweight title and competing for the European title. His three defeats have come against Franck Petitjean, Francesco Patera, and Artem Harutyunyan.
Molina is on a great run of form, winning his last seven fights, including a majority decision win over Jordy Weiss to claim the European welterweight title. The Spanish fighter will be defending this title against Anas Messaoudi on August 2.
Cristobal Lorente
Cristobal Lorente (20-1-2, 8 KOs) was born in Barcelona and turned pro in 2015. It was a tough start, as he went 1-1-1 in his first three fights. Fighting exclusively in Spain until 2024, Lorente then defeated Mauro Forte to win the European featherweight title, which he then successfully defended against Francesco Grandelli.
Last time out, Lorente faced fellow Spaniard Ruben Gil in a closely contested bout that ended in a split draw. A rematch looks likely, and both Lorente and Gil are Spanish boxers worth keeping a close eye on.
Samuel Carmona
The final name on our list of Spanish boxers to watch in 2025 is Samuel Carmona (13-1, 5 KOs). Carmona was born in Las Palmas and turned professional in 2019 after having over 200 amateur fights, winning his professional debut against Alejandro Torres.
He has largely fought in his native Spain, but did challenge the controversial yet talented Julio Cesar Martinez for the WBC world flyweight title. It was a brave performance from Carmona, losing by majority decision.
The 29-year-old recently returned to action, defeating Carlos Diaz. He’ll be aiming for an active final stretch of 2025 to push himself back toward world level.
