‘He’s Got This F***ing Superiority Complex’ – Ex World Champion Blasts Tyson Fury

Today’s the day! July 19 at Wembley Stadium, Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois will headline a historic fight card promoted by Queensberry Promotions, live on DAZN PPV. The main event will be for undisputed glory, with Usyk defending his WBC, WBO, and WBA titles, while Dubois will put his IBF belt on the line. Tyson Fury has hinted at a return to the heavyweight scene, facing Usyk for a third time. Ex-super middleweight world champion Carl Froch has spoken to the Escapist, sharing his thoughts on the potential return of “The Gypsy King.”

Tyson Fury Teases Return to Heavyweight Boxing

Carl Froch Shares Brutal Take on Fury Comeback

Speaking at a recent IBA Pro Event in Istanbul, Fury said: “I want my fair shout, and I don’t believe I’ve got a fair shout the last two times. I don’t know what I’m going to have to do, because I can’t let it go to a decision.

“That’s the one I want, but if I don’t get that, then it will be [Anthony] Joshua, the biggest British boxing fight that will ever happen.”

This proposed comeback has annoyed the ex-super middleweight champion Carl Froch, who said: “Why does Fury get another shot at Usyk? “He’s beat him twice. Fury can be a right p**ck sometimes to be honest. Whatever people want him to do, he’ll do the opposite because he’s got this f**king superiority complex. And it just needs everybody f***ing waiting for him. People now don’t really give a s**t, he’s retired five times. You don’t deserve to fight Usyk again.

“Joseph Parker. Parker deserves a shot and the payday. You’ve had your two bites at the cherry and you’ve got beatf**king twice. So, go away basically. F*ck off.

The Future

It’s hard to see Usyk facing Fury again, and honestly, it’s not a fight the sport needs. Fury performed well in both bouts against the Ukrainian, but was fairly beaten by the better man on both occasions.

That said, Fury vs Anthony Joshua remains a massive event, one that would draw huge attention and generate serious money for both fighters.

As for Usyk’s future, should he come through the Dubois fight, the most likely options appear to be a showdown with Joseph Parker or a well-earned retirement.
