Turki Alalshikh Confirms Two Major Headline Bouts

Since Turki Alalshikh entered the boxing world, he has played a key role in bringing the sport’s top names together, ensuring the best fight the best. He has pushed the boundaries with the much-criticised Times Square card and secured Canelo Alvarez on a four-fight deal. His Excellency has now revealed two intriguing main events set to headline separate cards in 2025.

Turki Alalshikh Continues to Drive Boxing

Haney vs Norman Jr

The first main event announced by Alalshikh is Brian Norman Jr vs Devin Haney for the WBO welterweight title in November in Riyadh. Norman will aim to raise his game once again and defeat Haney to retain the WBO crown that he successfully defended against Jin Sasaki in Tokyo.

Haney will aim to win a third world title in different weight classes. He returned to action on the Times Square card where he was roundly criticised following his win over Jose Ramirez. Despite this, it’s difficult to look past Norman’s one-punch power being the key factor in this fight.

Eubank Jr vs Benn 2

On April 26 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Chris Eubank Jr defeated Conor Benn in their much-anticipated grudge match. It was an action-packed twelve rounds, with Eubank winning by unanimous decision (116-112 x3).

The rematch was discussed immediately after the fight, with Matchroom saying it was agreed, and now it’s been confirmed that Eubank Jr vs Benn is set for September 20 in London. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is available that day, with Spurs playing away at Brighton & Hove Albion. Wembley remains an option as well, with the extra capacity an appealing attraction.

Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn told The Ring: Conor Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn told The Ring: “Spurs is contracted — it’s a fantastic stadium and it worked extremely well the first time. Obviously, it was sold out and this fight’s even bigger, so you could possibly look at Wembley to increase the capacity, but that will be a decision for His Excellency and Ring Magazine to make the final call.”

Eubank vs Benn 2 will seemingly capture the attention of many following their memorable first fight. Norman vs Haney and the Eubank vs Benn rematch again prove Alalshikh has a desire to pit the best fighters against each other.
