On May 24, Moses Itauma (12-0, 10 KOs) demolished Mike Balogun (21-2, 16 KOs) on the Josh Taylor vs Ekow Essuman undercard at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. It was a brutally efficient performance from the 20-year-old southpaw, and immediately after the fight, Francis Warren spoke to the Queensberry YouTube page about Itauma’s performance before delivering a brutal message to one potential opponent.

Warren Praises Moses Itauma
Reflecting on Itauma’s latest win, Warren said:“We know how much of a talent he is. It’s down to him to execute what he’s working on in the gym – and he’s delivering time after time. Mike Balogun, fair play to the guy. He’s a warrior, he’s a true athlete. However, there’s levels to this game and Moses showed he’s head and shoulders above Mike. Moses Itauma Next Fight: Warren’s Brutal Take on Bakole
When asked about managing Itauma’s career and finding the right opponents, Warren revealed: “It’s hard to get opponents who are going to give him a test and I think that’s the aim and ambition for the next couple of fights.”
“The work gets done in the gym. It’s just (about) executing what he works on, on fight night. He can only fight what’s putin front of him. It’s down to the opponents to give him the rounds and if they can’t do that, hey ho, we’ll crack on as we are.”

When asked if Martin Bakole (21-2-1, 16 KOs) could be next, Warren had no hesitation – with his brutal response: “No, Bakole’s got to be able to get himself in shape, the state of him, not happening.”
After Moses Itauma’s dominant win over Mike Balogun, it’s clear the skies the limit for the 20-year-old southpaw. This looks set to be a big year for Itauma, but it seems Bakole won’t be sharing the ring with him anytime soon.
