‘He’s Gonna Feel It on Saturday’: Canelo Warns William Scull for May 3
On May 3 at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia live on DAZN Pay-Per-View worldwide, Canelo Alvarez will face William Scull in an undisputed super middleweight clash. This bout will be the first fight for the Mexican under his historic four-fight deal with Riyadh Season. At the pre-fight press conference, Alvarez had a blunt message for Scull.
Canelo Alvarez Issues Warning to William Scull Ahead of May 3 Fight
Alvarez Ready for Scull on May 3
Alvarez has never been guilty of underestimating an opponent, and despite a lack of KOs in recent years, he has scored numerous knockdowns. He will be the clear favourite tomorrow night. It feels like a great opportunity for Alvarez – to not only become undisputed again but to send out a message before the planned mega fight in September with Terence Crawford.
At the pre-fight presser, he looked ahead to fight night and said: “I expect that he’ll be difficult in the beginning, just like in the Erislandy Lara fight. But I’m a different fighter now and he’s gonna feel it on Saturday.”
Sending out a clear message to Scull: “I hope he goes for it, but I don’t think he will. He says he’s gonna eat me, but the only thing he’s gonna eat are these fists. Everybody talks up here, but when they’re in the ring, it’s something different,” said Canelo.
