Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford
Benavidez has long made it clear he wants to face Canelo – but Álvarez has never reciprocated that desire, and when asked about the all but confirmed Crawford-Canelo super fight, “The Monster” said: “You know, I think now it’s really apparent that Canelo does whatever he wants to do and he plays by his own rules.”
“He’s a great champion. I take nothing away from him. But you know, he’s been fighting smaller guys from smaller weight classes and been making them come up. But you know, I guess if that’s what he wants to do and that’s in their plans, they can do whatever they want,” said Benavidez.

He added: “I also know that Canelo knows that this (Benavidez-Canelo) is the most dangerous fight that he can make for himself because this is a 50/50 fight.”
“He knows that David Benavidez is the most dangerous fighter for him out there.”
Undisputed Glory
David Benavidez is the WBC mandatory, and when asked about the possibility of facing Artur Beterbiev or Dmitry Bivol: “The win with David Morrell is going to put me in a position to fight for all four belts and, you know, make one of my dreams come true.”
Benavidez against Beterbiev or Bivol is an intriguing proposition for all boxing fans.
During the interview with Dan Rafael, “The Monster Bandera Roja” made a chilling promise ahead of his fight with Morrell: “I’m definitely going to make David Morrell suffer in that ring.”
