‘Arrasandor’ Inks Multi-Fight Co-Promotional Deal With Top Rank
WBC No.1 super lightweight contender Sandor Martin has signed a multi-fight co-promotional deal with Top Rank and his longtime promoter OPI Since 82. The deal appears to be with the intent of helping the Spaniard secure a world title shot, with him currently the mandatory to Devin Haney’s WBC crown.

Top Rank and OPI Since 82 Delighted With Deal
Christian Cherchi of OPI Since 82 spoke on the deal via the Top Rank press release and confirmed the hope to get Martin that world title shot: “We are glad to have the support of Top Rank for Sandor’s next fights. He already proved his worth with Mikey Garcia and Teofimo Lopez.” He continued: “Next step will be the green belt!”

Top rank chairman Bob Arum was forthright with the ambition they have regarding the Spanish fighter: “We’ve had a front-row seat to Sandor Martin’s immense talent, and Top Rank is thrilled to be partnering with OPI Since 82 to help Sandor receive his well-deserved world title opportunity.”

“Arrasandor” (42-3, 15 KOs) is a 13-year pro whose only defeats came to Teofimo Lopez, Anthony Yigit, and Alexandre Lepelley all by points decisions. The highlight of his career thus far was his upset win over Mikey Garcia. Following the split decision loss to Lopez, the Spaniard has recorded two KO victories, with the most recent against Mohamed El Marcouchi on December 16, 2023.

When speaking about the new co-promotional deal, Martin said: “Devin Haney calls himself ‘The Dream,’ but I am his worst nightmare. I will be the next WBC junior welterweight world champion. Whether he wants to lose his title to me in the ring or run up the scales to welterweight, the choice is his.” He added: “I am excited for the next chapter of my career with OPI Since 82 and Top Rank in my corner.”
