Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder III Made Offical
It’s been a weird week and a wild ride leading up to it, but we will have Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder for the third time.
Tyson Fury announced the bout during the ESPN telecast of the Undisputed Super Lightweight bout of Jose Ramirez and Josh Taylor.
The third contest will occur on July 24 and reportedly, at Allegiant Stadium and will be a joint venture between ESPN and Fox pay-per-view. ESPN showed Fury signing the contract with Wilder’s signature already on it making this fight a done deal.

And then, Fury crashed the set during the broadcast telling the ESPN broadcasters about Wilder, “Bitch, you’re going to get knocked out!” before the co-main event between Jose Zepeda and Hank Lundy stepped in the ring.

After the Zepada fight concluded with him winning a decision.
Fury was interviewed by play by play man Joe Tessitore and analyst/insider Mark Kriegel about the Wilder bout. He told the announcers,
“I’m just a fighting man. Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder, it doesn’t matter.”
When asked whether there was any thought to paying Wilder “step aside” money, Fury interrupted,
“HELL no! I’m paying him in ass whuppins.”
On taking on Wilder for a third fight, the WBC champ answered,
“You know I think he’s gonna give it a ‘good roll of the dice.’ This is his last hurrah. I’ve got his heart, his soul, his mojo. I’ve got it right here…. He’s a glutton for punishment. He’s an idiot.
He got absolutely dismantled-smashed to bits in our last fight. He wants it all over again…. It’s either one of two things: he’s crazy or he’s a sucker for punishment.”
He was then asked about fighting Joshua down the line?
“Yeah 100%. AJ’s got a big mouth and no substance….it happens this year. I’m gonna deal with this ‘mug’ (Wilder) I’m knocking him out cold. Then, I’m gonna deal with the other guy straight away.”
Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) comes into the third bout as the current WBC champion and the favorite in this one coming off the seventh-round stoppage win of Wilder (42-1-1,41 KOs). The biggest development was Monday between the two when Wilder got contract a arbitration win enforcing the third fight. Wilder has a new head trainer in Malik Scott, and all of the talk about an all British mega-fight between Fury and Joshua was now put on hold
This was all made official pretty much by CEO of Top Rank Bob Arum on Thursday to the media, but the broadcast wanted to hammer that point home Saturday night.
The past few days, both Fury and Wilder have been on social media with subliminal messages and workout footage, and now we wait for the long-awaited “unfinished business.”
We will wait for the official announcement details on the venue and whether it will be Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders, where 40,000 fans or more can potentially attend or not?
