Daniel Dubois-Joe Joyce moving back to November on PPV?
The intriguing British Heavyweight showdown featuring two unbeatens, Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce may be getting a new date and possibly, could have fans in attendance.
First, Danny Flexen, media personality and host of “Seconds Out” podcast, reported Thrusday morning London time that Dubois-Joyce is now looking at a November date:
BREAKING: Sources have told me that #DuboisJoyce might be moving back a couple of weeks. Probably November 14th or 21st.

Frank Warren and his Queensberry Promotions will stage the showdown and have had both fighters already fight lopsided “tune ups” in the BT Sport TV studios over the last few weeks.
Dubois had little resistance against late replacement Ricardo Snijders last Saturday night, and disposed of him in just two rounds.
The undefeated (now 15-0, 14 KOs) Dubois knocked down Snijders four times in just over 200 seconds of action before referee Marcus McDonnell, mercifully ended the bout.
Dubois said post fight,
“I was just getting warmed up. I was excited to be out there again and, hopefully, next time I will have a proper fighter in there with me, Joe Joyce or whoever is next,” Dubois said after the fight. “I needed a fight, any fight. This was perfect, just getting in and out, and I enjoyed.”
Joyce (photo at top) is now 11-0, and delivered an early knockout of German Michael Wallisch in just three rounds to hold up his end of the bargain back in late July. He’s the former Silver Medalist in the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics and also was a former MMA fighter, too.
The Joyce – Dubois fight has been postponed twice due to Covid-19 and there is anticipation with the pandemic lessening in the U.K. that the fight can have at least some fans at it for the battle of the potential two unbeatens. The fact that Warren wants it potentially on Pay per view is also taking a risk.
Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing put their Dillian Whyte-Alexander Povetkin August 22nd main event on Pay per view for $19.99 in British Pounds. We’ll wait to see what Warren ends up charging or if he will still go with outlet BT Sport televising without the extra charges.
Ultimately, Warren and the winner of that fight would hope to have a potential title shot in 2021. However, both Unified Heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua and WBC belt holder, Tyson Fury both have obligations with other fights upcoming late this year.
It’s believed that Joshua will also be making use of the O2 arena to defend against IBF #1 ranked contender, Kubrat Pulev that is tentatively schedule for July 12th.
