Top Rank Cards for June 9th and 11th info

While all things are subject to change, Top Rank Boxing is back in action since the pandemic halted live sports on June 9th and June 11th. What will be different about the fights will be to a shock to no one as no fans will be allowed to the event and limited personnel of one cutman/trainer in the corner for each fighter. Also, all of these June fight cards will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, now that the Nevada State Athletic Commission approved combat sports last week.

Courtesy of Boxrec, the tentative cards have been placed up of the matchups, and I must these fights aren’t as bad as I was expecting given the circumstances and travel restrictions limited a lot of what can be done. ,

Let’s start with the first card back on June 9th. That card is headlined by WBO featherweight champion  Shakur Stevenson taking on Felix Caraballo. While little is known of Caraballo, Freelance writer and friend Carlos Toro tweeted about as good as a scouting report on him I saw out last week.  The co-main to that card is a women’s contest between  Mikaela Mayer taking on Helen Joseph, which should be a new test for Mayer. The rest of the card features prospects Jared AndersonGuido Vianello, and Robeisy Ramirez in action.

The June 11th card is headlined by what may be the best main event of the month between former world champion Jessie Magdaleno taking on Yenifel Vicente in what should be a firefight. If that one isn’t, Adam Lopez facing Luis Coria should be. Many known Lopez in action on short notice took on Oscar Valdez and gave him all he could handle, knocking him down in the second round before being stopped in the seventh.  Bryan LuaEric Mondragon, and Gabriel Muratalla make up the rest of the June 11th card.

There is going to be plenty of action over the summer from Top Rank and the start with these cards should be fine until we get less social restrictions for more fights down the line.
