MVP announce signing of lightweight champion as part of Matchroom Boxing alliance
Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) have formally announced the signing of Elif Nur Turhan (14-0, 8 KOs).
The company made the announcement via press release and on their social media channels on Wednesday. Turhan becomes the second fighter to join MVP since they announced a “strategic alliance” with Matchroom Boxing last month. Skye Nicolson was the first to be signed after both companies agreed to work together to “create significant new opportunities for female fighters both inside and outside the ring.”
Turhan is now part of a stable of boxers that includes WBO and WBC lightweight world champion Caroline Dubois. Stephanie Han, the reigning WBA lightweight world champion, is also promoted by MVP. Unification bouts should become a lot easier to make with Turhan’s signing. Her next fight will be announced at a later date according to the press release.
