Tszyu (27-3, 18 KOs) has suffered tough defeats in recent years, losing twice to Sebastian Fundora and once to Bakhram Murtazaliev. He did fight in April 2026, defeating Denis Nurja, but has since made another change to his team, with Jeff Fenech joining as his lead trainer.

Errol Spence Jr recent form

Spence Jr (28-1, 22 KOs) has not fought since a crushing defeat to Terence Crawford in 2023. Before that, “The Truth” recorded impressive wins against Kell Brook and Shawn Porter, among others. He was considered a pound-for-pound great, but it remains to be seen just how much of the old Spence magic remains, which helped him become a unified welterweight champion.

Spence, in his prime, was an exceptional body puncher who was adept at systematically taking his opponents apart. He’s brilliant at trapping opponents on the ropes before letting his hands go. His jab was also one of his best assets, helping him control the tempo and distance in his fights. He very rarely looks rushed in his fights. Despite all his qualities, questions remain about what is left after two car crashes and a stoppage loss to Terence Crawford.

Tszyu carries plenty of pop in his punches and will look to apply pressure on Spence from the opening bell. He will look to drag Spence into the trenches and test what the American has left. He’s brave, but he can leave himself open, and he will need to be wary of Spence countering. Looking at the ability of both, I would back an elite Spence to deal with Tszyu in most circumstances, but after three years out of the ring and two car crashes, it’s difficult to back him. We are backing Tszyu to wear Spence down and force a late fight stoppage
