Robert Garcia warns Ennis ahead of Zayas fight
Xander Zayas vs Boots Ennis is one of the standout fights in the June boxing schedule, and for the whole of 2026. Looking ahead to this fight, renowned boxing trainer Robert Garcia spoke to Fight Hub TV, breaking down why he thinks Zayas could cause problems for Boots:
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he pulls it off. Very few give him a chance, but he’s a big boy. He’s strong. He has the heart. And a fighter that’s dedicated, ’cause I know he’s very dedicated, very disciplined, and he’s big enough to be able to take Boots’ punch.
“12 rounds is not gonna be easy for Boots. Boots would have to look sensational and put a beating on him in the first half of the fight. But I think if it goes into the late rounds, Boots is in trouble, ‘cause Xander has tremendous heart, big boy, he’s a warrior. He has the heart that won’t let him stop. He won’t back up. I think he has a chance, honestly, I do.”
