Shane Mosley Jr. vs. Serhii Bohachuk fight recap

Shane Mosley Jr. (23-5, 13 KOs) got the sixth round technical knockout victory against the power puncher Serhii Bohachuk (27-4, 24 KOs).

The official time of stoppage was 2:38. Mosley picks up his first win since losing to Jesus Ramos Jr. in December last year. Bohachuk suffers his second defeat in the professional ranks by way of stoppage, having been stopped by Brandon Adams in their first encounter in 2021.

Both men had a busy opening round, landing an array of shots at each other. They maintained a high level of activity in subsequent rounds and fought on the inside. The first half of the fight was competitive with neither fighter relenting. Bohachuk got rocked by a straight right at the end of round four, but it was too late for Mosley to capitalize. They continued to go at each other in the fifth.

A jab to the body followed by two right hooks upstairs dropped Bohachuk in the sixth. Although he got up, it quickly became evident that he had not recovered from the knockdown. Mosley followed up with a barrage of punches, causing referee Thomas Taylor to step in with Bohachuk still standing.
