Keith Thurman Makes Massive Statement in Boxing Return
Keith Thurman (31-1, 23 KOs, 1 NC) went three years without a fight but wasted little time in stopping Brock Jarvis (22-2, 20 KOs).
Thurman won via third round technical knockout in their super welterweight clash. The official time of stoppage was 2:19. With the victory, “One Time” makes a successful return to professional boxing. He had not fought since a unanimous decision win over Mario Barrios in February 2022.
The March 12 fight headlined a card promoted by No Limit Boxing and The Rose Brothers – in association with TGB Promotions – at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, Australia. Boxing fans in the country could catch the action live as a pay-per-view on Main Event. Across Latin America, it was broadcast on ESPN KnockOut. Those in the United States could watch a replay of the card using the Premier Boxing Champions YouTube channel following the event’s conclusion.

Keith Thurman vs. Brock Jarvis Fight Recap
Early in the opening round, Thurman was able to find a home for his power punches. Jarvis responded by throwing several punches, but his American opponent did not seem to mind the barrage, responding in turn with body shots. Thurman continued to land to the body in round two and it was not long before he would put an end to the fight.
In the third, the former unified welterweight champion landed a right hook, followed by a left hook, another right hook and then a left uppercut. This combination of punches sent Jarvis to the canvas for the first time in the fight. Not long after the Australian got up, Thurman then landed a right hook that sent his opponent moving backwards. He followed it up with a left hook that sent Jarvis down a second time. It was at this point that referee Will Soulos put an end to the proceedings.

“I’ve had a lot of fights, a lot of contracts, a lot of camps that just kept falling out for whatever reason,” said Thurman. “Pushbacks, politics, man. But my love for the sport is still here and that’s why I did what I did today, baby. To prove to the world that Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman is back in action. Anybody can get it, baby. Let’s go.”
“I knew that’s what Brock [Jarvis] was all about, man. I wanted him to showcase his skills and his talent and from the faceoff, he’s still holding on to some of that animosity, you know. I just wanted to get in the ring, box hard, box smart, and after I saw all that anger still in him, I figured ‘ay, let this boy use it up in the first round, see how hard he trained, and see, you know, if I can break him down as the fight continues.’ It’s just the opening round.”
