Kambosos Jr Set for Matchroom Debut in Sydney

Kambosos Jr was last seen in action, being stopped by Vasyl Lomachenko, with the Ukrainian collecting the IBF lightweight strap for the win. Since that defeat, the 31-year-old Sydney native has joined Eddie Hearn at Matchroom Boxing to embark on this new journey towards a world title shot in the super lightweight division. This live on DAZN card will be in partnership with DiBella Entertainment and Ferocious Promotions, and in association with Tasman Fighters and Goldstar.

Skye Nicolson and Teremoana Teremoana

Skye Nicolson (12-0, 1 KO) will defend her WBC featherweight crown against undefeated American challenger Tiara Brown (18-0, 11 KOs). An intriguing rematch will occur for the Women’s WBA bantamweight title with Cherneka Johnson (16-2, 6 KOs) facing Nina Hughes (6-1, 2 KOs). Their first fight will be remembered for Hughes being announced as the winner before ring announcer Dan Hennessey corrected himself, announcing Johnson as the winner, leaving both fighters and all in attendance completely bewildered.

Elsewhere on the card, Australian heavyweight Teremoana Teremoana (6-0, 6 KOs) will appear against an opponent to be confirmed. Since signing with Matchroom, the 198cm Australian native has won both fights by first-round stoppage and will be eager to continue this impressive start to his pro career.
