The grudge match between Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) and Chris Eubank Jr (34-3, 25 KOs) will finally take place on April 26 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Tottenham as the main event for the first UK event for The Ring Magazine. It’s a fascinating rivalry full of hatred and contempt that has been simmering since their scheduled fight in 2022 fell apart due to two failed drug tests from Benn.

Nigel Benn Discusses Path to World Title for Conor

“The Destroyer’“ announced via his X account that he had been cleared of any wrongdoing following the failed tests. Shortly after this the UK Anti-Doping and British Board of Boxing Control decided against appealing the decision to lift his suspension. This recent turn of events has finally led to Benn and Eubank Jr agreeing to face each other.

Benn Sr spoke about the importance of activity in 2025 and revealed his hopes for Conor, including a world title fight against Barrios: “I want him to be active this year, with maybe a Eubank rematch and then I would like to see Conor fight Barrios. That is my opinion. To be world champion at 28, the same age I was when I won the WBC—that would be nice. Like father, like son.”

“I would like to see him fight three times this year.  I know Conor – he would get frustrated if he had to wait that long for a fight because he has been out for so long,” Benn Sr said.
