Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs) will soon face William Scull (23-0, 9 KOs) for the undisputed super middleweight championship.
Their fight headlines a Riyadh Season card at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Boxing fans around the world can catch the action live as a pay-per-view (PPV) on DAZN. Canelo vs. William Scull Press Conference Quotes
Canelo
“[Professional fight number 67] feels the same for me,” said the WBC, WBA and WBO champion. “I love boxing. I enjoy boxing and for me it’s the same. I’m very excited to be here in Riyadh. That’s the only change. It’s one of my dreams, fighting in another country. Now I’m about to do it and I’m excited. It’s the same for me. It’s the same excitement, motivation and I’m ready for Saturday.”

“At the beginning it was a little bit difficult [being in Saudi Arabia]. Little bit different for the time, for the weather, too. It’s a little bit heavy [sic] but that’s why I come three weeks before because I knew this is gonna happen, but, I’m ready now.”
William Scull
“We were surprised [that he chose to fight us], to be honest,” said the IBF champion through an interpreter. “But, you’re always in training and you’re ready and you’re thinking about the possibility that something could come along about this. And I have to thank Team Canelo for accepting this fight. We’re looking forward to going out with a great fight.”

“We’ll have to take it round by round. I’ve had a great preparation and I’m a boxer that can manage all types of distances within the ring, different ranges. We’ll have to see how that plan develops. We’re not going to go crazy throughout the fight, but we’re not gonna go into the fight plan now because that would be giving an advantage, putting food on the table of our opponents.”
Fight Prediction
Canelo is a massive favourite in this contest. While Scull has spent several years in the professional ranks, he has yet to demonstrate something that would cause concern for his opponent. Neither fighter has had a win via stoppage in quite some time, so expect this bout to go the distance. Expect Canelo to be able to outbox the Cuban and eventually win viaunanimous decision.
