Fury Looking For Different Wilder In Third Fight

WBC champion Tyson Fury was the man of the hour at the press conference yesterday for their fight on July 24 from the T-Moblie Arena in Las Vegas against Deontay Wilder.

“I hope Deontay brings something different for this fight. He needs to if we’re facing facts. I hope he brings a challenge. Hopefully, Malik Scott can bring the best out of Deontay Wilder,” Fury said at the press conference Tuesday.

I don’t know what he’ll bring different to the fight in the ring, but outside of it, Wilder didn’t carry a conversation. However, what Fury said has been the overall consensus and something that Boxingscene.com managing editor Cliff Rold tweeted out yesterday.

At this point, this press conference from yesterday is so overblown, and the best part about it is because nothing happened and nobody said anything. Despite that, it was one of the top trending topics on Twitter Tuesday well into the evening.

“Deontay Wilder is a one-trick pony. He’s got great one-punch knockout power. I’m going to run him over like I’m an 18-wheeler. I guarantee he doesn’t go past where he did in the second fight. I’m looking for a big knockout straight away.

“One Trick Pony” Wilder crackbacks is going to be the default tagline for articles coming out of this, but Fury has been saying that going back to his appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast in 2018. I repeat, nothing new on this front at all

“He said all this stuff about bloodshed last time, and we all know what happened last time. I’m going to keep it short and sweet today,” Fury stated.

They both did and had a fun stare-off at the end of it.  Let’s see if Wilder can give Fury what he’s looking for once the bell rings or if it will be the same as in the previous two fights.
