Edwards was last seen in action when he comfortably beat Adrian Curiel by a ninth-round technical decision after suffering a nasty-looking cut following an accidental clash of heads. Yafai most recently appeared in a tune-up fight against Sergio Orozco Oliva, stopping him in round three on the Terri Harper-Rhiannon Dixon undercard on September 28.
During his interview with Boxing News, Edwards was asked if he felt like he would be fighting in enemy territory on Nov. 30: “It’s just the only place the fight could happen because their team wouldn’t agree anywhere else.”
Andi Purewal then asked Edwards what he felt the key was to his success in the Yafai fight, and a smiling Sunny said: “Hit him more than he hits me.”
