Super lightweight boxer Starling Castillo (19-1-1, 13 KOs), fighting out of Las Vegas under the tutelage of respected boxing coach Bob Santos, is targeting the divisional elite following his split-decision victory against Jesus Saracho (13-2-1, 11 KOs) on ProBox TV on March 27.

Castillo under the tutelage of the experienced boxing coach Bob Santos, is aiming to climb the rankings and be among the super lightweight elite. His latest victory was an impressive showing, proving he has what it takes to move on to a new level of opposition.
Castillo’s only career defeat came against Otar “Pitbull” Eranosyan, and he has bounced back well since then. His latest win showcased his boxing ability and desire to succeed, which make him a dangerous fighter in the super lightweight division.

Speaking about targets for the future, Castillo said: “I want anyone in the top ten of any sanctioning body.” He continued: “This win should put me in the mix, and I’m ready to take on the best the division has to offer.” This latest win ensures “El Poli” continues to gain momentum in his career to propel him into the upper echelons of the division: “I’m hoping this victory will catapult me up the rankings,” said Castillo, who is promoted by Sampson Lewkowicz.
He continued: “I have a great team that believes in me, and I know together we will do big things. I can’t wait to get back in the ring against another tough fighter. I’m ready to earn my way to a world title.”

His coach Santos was full of praise for his fighter: “Starling has shown tremendous growth in his training and it showed in this last fight,” said Santos, who believes this victory should land him a ranking in the top ten.
