Sheeraz Explains Why Ezra Taylor Will Triumph
Hamzah Sheeraz will return to action on February 22, challenging Carlos Adames for the WBC middleweight title. Ahead of that fight, Sheeraz has spoken about the talent of fellow Queensberry fighter Taylor: “He’s got something about him, and I wouldn’t be surprised within the next three years if he picks up a title,” said Sheeraz. “He’s like the new generation coming through in the 175 division.”

The Slough native added: “If you were to stick the likes of him and Ben Whittaker in the ring now. I’d tell you now, he’d destroy him, and I’m not saying that because he’s just a Queensberry fighter and a friend. This is from a kind of boxing point of view.”
Taylor Career Recapped – Looking to the Future
Taylor made his professional debut in 2020, stopping Jevgenijs Andrejevs in the second round. A points win over Darryl Sharp followed in 2021 before “The Cannon” upped his activity. His last fight against Kristaps Bulmeistars was devastating. A massive right hand ended the fight after just 24 seconds.
Following his win over Bulmeistars, Taylor teased a successful 2025: “2024 has been an amazing year,” he told BBC East Midlands Today. “I’m grateful to God that I’m here with the belts that I have and the achievements and accomplishments.”
He continued: “But 2025 is the making of Ezra Taylor, I believe. This has been my trial period and now we are paying for the subscription. And you want to get your money’s worth.”
