Ryan Garcia gave some clarity on his future
While the soap opera continues on when/where unbeaten, California Lightweight contender, Ryan Garcia, will fight next, he appeared in a video on Gossip site TMZ Wednesday morning.
And while simply trying to walk to his vehicle, Garcia did give some interesting comments and clues about his short-term future:

“Looking forward to my fight with Luke Campbell…so that’ll be good,” Garcia told the Gossip site’s paparazzi reporter, who was walking and filming him, sometime this week.
It is likely that Garcia and Campbell will finalize a deal for the WBC Lightweight number one contender spot. However, that fight still has not officially been made and there is speculation that Garcia is, once again, the holdup because of his purse demands.
This has already been the case with Garcia refusing to agree to headline a Golden Boy Promotions/DAZN streaming July 4th show with no fans in California, because the money and the opponent didn’t match up. Garcia is one of the stars of The Golden Boy stable, but has a rocky relationship with owner / promoter Oscar De La Hoya.
He and De La Hoya have sparred verbally over social media due to the financial bickering and Garcia not being in the ring. This includes Garcia threatening to prove his worth elsewhere,
"If they don’t think I’m the next world champ, if they don’t think I’m the next big fighter in the world, prove it — let me go."
It seemed as though Ryan Garcia's issues with Oscar De La Hoya's promotion had been resolved.

Garcia was last in the ring in February, when he scored a one punch, first round kayo over Francisco Fonseca.
It’s interesting that the TMZ reporter wanted to focus more on De La Hoya’s own boxing “comeback” at age 47 and Garcia played it off without taking the easy verbal shots at the Hall of Fame fighter that he certainly could have,
“Oh, man, Oscar, shoot, let him do whatever he wants…they (De La Hoya, Tyson, Roy Jones) are all trying to give the world some entertainment right now.”
Garcia also made it clear in the video that he would love the shot at WBC World champion Devin Haney or former two division World Champ, Gervonta Davis later in 2021.
