Robson Conceição vs. O’Shaquie Foster II: Press Conference Quotes and Fight Prediction
Robson Conceição (19-2-1, 9 KOs, 1 NC) and O’Shaquie Foster (22-3, 12 KOs) fight once more for super featherweight gold.
The two headline a Top Rank card at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY. Boxing fans in the United States can catch the action live on ESPN+. Those in Canada can do so with TSN+. Sky Sports+ will broadcast the card for those in the United Kingdom.
In their first meeting in July, Conceição won a shocking split decision to wrest the WBC world title from Foster. The WBC later ordered a rematch, resulting in the November 2 fight date. Ahead of their rematch on Saturday, both men spoke at a press conference. Below is some of what they had to say.
Robson Conceição vs. O’Shaquie Foster II Press Conference Quotes
Robson Conceição
“This fight is personal for me because I feel that a champion is a fighter who goes out there and doesn’t run around, who looks for the fight, who tries to win, who looks for it and doesn’t just hit one or two punches and then moves away,” said Conceição through an interpreter.

“I had a really good camp. For the first fight, I actually didn’t have that much of a good camp because I had a lot of pain. I even had a great sickness in that last camp, and so even with that, I was still able to win. But this time, I had a reallygreat camp. I trained great. It was a good, clean preparation, so I’m going to win in even better fashion this time.”
O’Shaquie Foster
“I’ve been good,” said Foster. “I’ve just been grinding. But I hope he knows the name of the game is to hit and not get hit. That’s the name of the game. I’ve been in good spirits. I’m ready.”

“We plan on doing stuff different, but we gonna step to him. I hope he know that. He talking and doing all the rough talking. I hope he had the best camp because we had a great camp, too. Everybody goes into fights with injuries and sicknesses, so I don’t want to hear that excuse. Saturday, it’s going to be showtime.”
Fight Prediction
Foster should have won the first fight. The fact that two judges did not have him winning in unbelievable. Foster has the ability to box and move around his opponents, but given what happened in his last fight, he might be a lot more aggressive. Do not expect Conceição to get dropped, however, as he is a capable fighter in his own right. In the end, this bout should go the distance with Foster winning a unanimous decision.
