Regis Prograis Dismisses Level of Jack Catterall Ahead of Oct. 26 Showdown
Regis Prograis (29-2, 24 KOs) will return to action on Saturday, October 26, in a must-win contest against Jack Catterall (29-1, 13 KOs) at the Co-op Live Arena, Manchester. Their fight will be the main event of the Matchroom Boxing card shown globally on DAZN. It will be included in the standard price of a DAZN subscription. Ahead of fight night, “Rougarou” has spoken to Dan Rafael on the Big Fight Weekend/Fight Freaks Unite Podcast about the level of his upcoming fight against “El Gato” and his honest views on his opponent.

Prograis Discusses August 24 Postponement
Talking about the magnitude of his fight with Catterall, Prograis said: “Me and Jack were supposed to fight two or three years ago. It just never happened and now I guess now is a good time and I think this is the biggest fight you can make at 140 besides people with the belts.”
He added: “It’s a great fight. It’s a good fight and I’m just excited about it.”

Rafael then asked Prograis how he felt about the Postponement of their original August 24 fight date: “I was pissed. I was really pissed,” said the New Orleans native.
Rafael then asked Prograis if he would look to target the Brit’s rib injury on October 26: “Of course. I don’t know if it’s true or not but of course. You have an injury and of course, I’m going to go target that. No matter what, that’s what I’m gonna target. I don’t know if it’s fake. That’s what I heard. We can hear all kinds of stuff. That will be one of the places I target.”

Prograis Dismisses Level of Catterall
When asked about travelling to Manchester to face Catterall, he said: “I want to be a world champion again and whatever it takes to get to that world championship status again, I’ll just do it. I know that Jack is not on my level. I’m a way better fighter, so it really doesn’t matter where the fight is going to take place. I know I’m way better.”

He added: “I just know Jack is not on my level, nowhere close to being on my level. It doesn’t matter. Yeah they have the hometown stuff going on but for me, listen, I think that makes me hungry and I know people kind of write me off, but it’s a good thing for me because I’m going to shock everybody.”
Revealing how he feels ahead of fight night, the New Orleans native said: “In the gym, I know I’m looking real good. I can’t leak my sparring and stuff like that, but I’m looking super good. I’m real fast. Im strong. I can still hit hard. Everything is still there. I know it was all a mental thing.”
