Jake Paul Vows “To Shut You All The F*&k Up” With Fury KO

As boxing roars to the finish line of 2021 with the likes of Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, Canelo Alvarez and soon, Terence Crawford in the ring in recent weeks, Youtube/social media star turned boxing headliner Jake Paul is ready to take his turn, again.

And, on Monday Paul met with the media in Tampa Bay, as he gets set for his biggest test yet. That’s as he fights his most experienced opponent to date in the half brother of WBC Heavyweight Champ, Tommy Fury.

I’m giving the people what they want. What they wanted was for me to fight a real boxer. That’s what everybody kept saying. So here is a real boxer who is the same height, same age, same reach, a better record than me and who has been boxing his entire life,” Paul said Monday.

His brother is the heavyweight champion of the world. He has a legendary name, he has the following, he has the star power. It’s the perfect fight. When I knock out Tommy Fury on December 18 right here at AMALIE Arena, there will be nothing left to say. All the media, all the people who have constantly doubted me and said I’m bad for boxing, I’m going to shut you all the f*&k up and you will put respect on my name after I beat this kid.”

Paul is long on bravado and he’s definitely got a social media following. But, it’s also undeniable that this will be a test come December 18th.

Watch us discussing the Monday presser and whether Fury can give Paul a challenge on this video from Peter Blake’s “Sports Web” on Next Gen Sports Network. Also, longtime Tampa Bay sports television and radio personality, J.P. Peterson was also at the media session and gives his perspective/thoughts:

Paul 4-0 will battle Fury, 10-0 at the “catch weight” of 192 lbs. in a scheduled eight rounder for the main event on Showtime.

Former Unified Women’s World Featherweight champ, Amanda Serrano, will battle WBO Lightweight champ Miriam Guitierrez in the co-feature fight that December night. Serrano, who desperately wants Ireland’s Katie Taylor in 2022 was also in attendance on Monday. The full undercard will be announced soon.

Tickets for Paul-Fury will go on sale Wednesday for the 19,000 seat home of the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning.
