Hunter Stops Wilson In One Way Traffic In Four
Michael Hunter looked to make a highlight reel statement on Mike Wilson and did just that with a fourth-round stoppage victory Tuesday night in the first Tuesday Night Fight in 20 years that aired on Triller and Fite.Tv
The official time of the one-way traffic win for Hunter was 2:49 of round four.
Hunter from the opening bell was looking to get Wilson out as fast as possible. Pretty much the game plan Hunter hinted at going this fight. In the 1st round, he threw 64 punches, roughly about 20 more than the average at Heavyweight as mentioned by blow-by-blow man Ray Flores.
One way traffic here going on with Hunter and Wilson.
Wilson ain't getting paid by the round. End this after 4. #TrillerVerz

The contest was a grudge match of a one-point victory for Hunter back in 2007 in the ameaturs. Wilson in the ring looked like a man who definitely was all of 37 years in the ring and analyst Jamel Herring pointed out he was already tiring as the 2nd round was coming to a close. The crowd was ancy for this one to finish as rap groups The Lox were going to rap battle Dipset live from the sold-out Hulu Theather at Madison Square Garden.
“Big right hand by Michael Hunter” was the note being tuned up here in this one and it was a matter of when not if he’d get the stoppage. Wilson’s corner stated that Hunter was just “pot-shotting” him at will and that was the case before the start of the fourth round. The highlight-reel knockout came as the fourth came to a close with that oft-mentioned right that sent Wilson on dream street.
Wilson beat the referee’s ten count but clearly wasn’t in any shape to continue and Ricky Gonzalez waves this beatdown mercifully over.
With the win for Hunter, we’ll see where he goes from here but the goal of making a statement was certainly made in teh shadow of the Garden.
