Frank Warren Set to Unveil Blockbuster DAZN Deal with Exciting Matchups

Queensberry Promotions has enjoyed a sustained period of success over recent years, with their heavyweight stable impressing, including Tyson Fury, Fabio Wardley, and Derek Chisora, to name just three. It was previously announced that from April 2025, Queensberry was embarking on a new blockbuster broadcast deal with DAZN. Queensberry has called a press conference for February 10 at Co-op Live in Manchester, England, where they are expected to unveil some of the early fights, as reported by Dan Rafael and others.

Intriguing Heavyweight Bout to Headline First DAZN Event

Frank and George Warren have done an exceptional job of recruiting some of the best talent in boxing, which saw them enjoy a memorable 5v5 win over Matchroom Boxing. Queensberry are not resting on their laurels, and this move to DAZN looks set to be a great one for the company and its impressive stable of fighters.

The press conference scheduled for Monday will reveal some of the early fights as part of the Queensberry-DAZN deal. The first card will take place in April and be headlined by an intriguing all-British heavyweight clash between veteran fighters Joe Joyce (16-3, 15 KOs) and Dillian Whyte (31-3, 21 KOs). This feels like a winner-takes-all fight, with the loser destined for retirement.

The co-feature for Whyte-Joyce will be another all-British heavyweight bout between Lawrence Okolie (21-1, 16 KOs) and Richard Riakporhe (17-1, 13 KOs) who is moving up to heavyweight following his decisive decision loss to then-WBO cruiserweight titlist Chris Billam-Smith.

Other Fights

Another fight expected to be announced is Anthony Cacace (23-1, 8 KOs) vs Leigh Wood (28-3, 17 KOs), who will be moving up in weight. This fight is a much bigger commercial fight than facing mandatory challenger Eduardo “Sugar” Nunez, which led to Cacace vacating his IBF super featherweight title to chase the more commercially appealing opportunities.

The press conference on Monday marks an exciting new journey for Queensberry Promotions, strengthening the presence of DAZN in the boxing world.
