On Saturday, July 20, at the Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Florida, Amanda Serrano returned to the ring as she comprehensively defeated Stevie Morgan by second-round TKO on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry. The entire card was shown live on DAZN as a pay-per-view. Following her winning return “The Real Deal” had a clear message for her old foe Katie Taylor, who she is set to face on November 15 for the undisputed super lightweight title.

Amanda Serrano Ready for Next Test vs. Katie Taylor

After destroying Stevie Morgan, Serrano’s attention quickly turned to her opponent on November 15, and “The Read Deal” delivered a clear message to her old rival: “Hi Katie — I’m ready November 15,” said Serrano while speaking with Ariel Helwani. “Can’t wait to go in there with you once again. We’re gonna show that women can fight, put on a show, sell and I’m just excited to be in there with you again.” Serrano also promised: “And this time is going to be a lot different.”

Their first contest was a memorable one back in April 2022 at Madison Square Garden in New York, which Taylor won by split decision with one judge scoring it 96-94 for “The Read Deal” while the other two judges had it 97-93 and 96-93 for Taylor. It was a close fight with both women having plenty of success. It will go down in history as the first women’s boxing match to headline Madison Square Garden, and it was a fitting headline fight that drew a record-breaking audience of 1.5 million globally who tuned into DAZN.

November 15 Card

Following Jake Paul’s comfortable win over Mike Perry in the sixth round, “The Problem Child” said: “Mike Tyson, you’re next big boy. Sign the contract — November 15. I’m excited for that. I’m going to go home and prepare for that.”
