Adrien Broner arrested for DUI Friday night
Former four division world champion, Adrien Broner, is once again in legal trouble after being arrested Friday night in Miami Beach for DUI.
TMZ reported first, that the 30-old Broner was taken into custody just before 9 p.m. Eastern after authorities suspected him of Driving Under the Influence:

The gossip site reports that Broner’s bond was set at $1,000 and that he should bond out sometime Saturday morning
Broner has had a myriad of legal trouble, including pleading guilty last April two misdemeanor charges in connection with a June 2018 assault of a woman in a Cleveland nightclub. As part of the plea agreement, Broner got a suspended six months jail sentence, was placed on probation for two years, and he also faced a fine from the court and had to reimburse the victim for over $4,000 in her medical bills.
Then, there was the November “incident” in Las Vegas between Broner and Jr. Lightweight champ Gervonta Davis at the Canelo Alvarez-Sergey Kovalev fight. SI.com and DAZN boxing insider Chris Mannix, initially reported it was a fight with punches that were thrown, including that Broner “hit Davis’ P.R. guy with a haymaker,” as Mannix referred to it. His report was disputed and was never substantiated by anyone.
As for Broner’s ring accomplishments, he’s a four division World Champ in the 2010s, but was last in the ring over a year ago in a January 2019. That’s when he lost a lopsided 12 round decision (above) to Manny Pacquiao. And, at 30 years of age and having not won any of his last three fights over two years, he is clearly struggling to get a serious fight of any kind in the ring.
Broner still has numerous civil suits against him for several other incidents with women in recent years and this latest arrest isn’t going to help his image or his chances of getting back into the big time boxing limelight anytime soon.
