Per Draft Kings, Roy Jones Jr. is the favorite at -195, and Anthony Pettis is the underdog at +150.

ROY JONES JR. ANTHONY PETTIS LIVE ROUND BY ROUND RESULTS

Round 1: Jones Jr. started the round off throwing the left jab effectively while maintaining space just outside of mid-range. Pettis came inside and threw punches but the majority were blocked by Jones’ high guard. Jones Jr. controlled the round.

BFW Score: 10-9 Jones Jr.

Round 2: Pettis jumped on Jones Jr. and started to land some shots while also using feints. There were a few moments where Pettis’ body shots got in but towards the end of the round, Jones Jr. landed a huge straight right hand.

BFW Score: 10-9 Pettis

Round 3: Jones Jr. started to land his vintage jump left hook which was giving Pettis something to think about. Jones Jr. also started to throw that right hand and try to slip away. That was a move he used to do when he was a lot younger and at age 56, couldn’t get out of the way as fast as he wanted to. Pettis landed some short shots on the inside but Jones kept smiling at him.

BFW Score: 10-9 Jones Jr.

Round 4: Jones Jr. took over this round by applying pressure and increasing his punch output. Towards the end of the round, Jones Jr. landed a nasty left hook that staggered Pettis. It just doesn’t look like Pettis has a plan B to execute.

BFW Score: 10-9 Jones Jr.

Round 5: Pettis landed a few three punch combinations but he isn’t doing enough to win the rounds. Jones Jr. is dictating the pace and lands the straight right hand at will. He is also accurate with that check left hook and is catching Pettis each time when he comes in.

BFW Score: 10-9 Jones Jr.

Round 6: Jones Jr. took the round off as it seemed as if he needed a breather. Pettis took advantage and was landing these hard overhand rights that were being effective and making Jones Jr. go into defense mode.

BFW Score: 10-9 Pettis

Round 7: Both Pettis and Jones Jr. had their moments in this round and towards the end, Jones Jr. countered Pettis after getting hit with a overhand right.

BFW Score: 10-9 Jones Jr.

Round 8: Jones Jr. landed a hard left hook to the body of Bettis which made him suck wind a bit but he recovered and came back with a flurry of his own. ‘Captain Hook’ Jones Jr. was landing the left hook whenever he wanted and was fighting off of the ropes.

BFW Score: 10-9 Jones Jr.

BFW Final score: 6-2 Roy Jones Jr.

ROY JONES JR. VS. ANTHONY PETTIS LIVE FIGHT RESULTS

The decision certainly wasn’t what I saw, but we all know Pettis wouldn’t lose in his hometown. The judges saw this 76-76, overruled by 77-75, 78-74 for Pettis. Jones Jr. left the door open for a rematch if Pettis should want to pursue that.
