Even though he beat the canvas, Azim continued to dominate – his French opponent until the tenth round, when the Slough-born fighter wore his opponent down and forced the stoppage from a well-timed uppercut.

Tyler Denny Wins European Middleweight Title

Denny started well, gaining success early from his accurate jab. Through the opening rounds, Denny controlled the distance well and kept moving, which didn’t suit Signani. The Italian fighter kept coming forward, but the Wordsley-born fighter boxed diligently behind his jab while putting together good combinations. Signani showed in round five – he was still in the fight by rocking Denny towards the end of the round.

Through the middle rounds, Denny’s footwork and ability to pick his punches saw him dominate. Nursing a nasty cut above his eye – Signani’s corner were too slow in putting the gum shield in their fighter, forcing the referee to wave off the contest.
