Figueroa vs. Magsayo: Weigh-In Results & Betting Odds

Brandon Figueroa made weight earlier today but his opponent Mark Magsayo needed some additional time as he was nearly a pound over at his first attempt on the scales.

Things got pretty interesting earlier today as Brandon ‘The Heartbreaker’ Figueroa (23-1-1) and Mark Magsayo (24-1) hit the scales to solidify their matchup tonight. What fans weren’t expecting was that Magsayo would come overweight on his first attempt. Magsayo came in at 126.8 lbs, more than the featherweight limit, as his opponent Figueroa came in at 126 lbs.

Since this is for the vacant interim WBC crown, Magsayo had two hours to see if he could make the weight and calm everyone’s nerves from his camp. Right before the two-hour mark, Magsayo returned and weighed 126 lbs. We have a fight tomorrow night on Showtime, and the question will be if the weight cut for Magsayo was too severe for him during this training camp.
