Ben Whittaker recent form

Since his controversial draw with Liam Cameron in Riyadh, Ben Whittaker (12-0-1, 9 KOs) has joined respected trainer Andy Lee and has not looked back, winning his four fights since then by knockout. Not one of those four wins has gone past the second round. In his last bout, he became the first fighter to stop the usually durable Richard Rivera.

Conor Wallace recent form

Wallace (17-1, 12 KOs) suffered his only career defeat, back in 2021 against Leti Leti. He avenged that loss the following year, stopping him in round six. Since that rematch win, Wallace has won all seven bouts, with five coming by stoppage. Last time out, he stopped Walter Gabriel Sequeira, a win that backed up an impressive triumph against Dylan Colin.

Ben Whittaker vs Conor Wallace prediction

Wallace is a good fighter. He controls the distance well in his fights by using his jab, something he will need to do to frustrate Whittaker. He doesn’t waste much in the ring and is diligent with his approach. He will need to use his jab and footwork to keep Whittaker guessing.

The Brit is an exceptional boxer. His excellent amateur pedigree shines through, with his sharp footwork and punch placement. His speed of movement and punches frustrate and often bamboozle his opponents. He has proven under the guidance of Lee that he also carries that fight-ending power.

Wallace may have enough about him to last two or three rounds, but I just can’t see him being able to deal with the speed and power of Ben Whittaker. We are backing “The Surgeon” to win by stoppage before round six.
