Tyson Fury vs. Arslanbek Makhmudov press conference quotes

Tyson Fury

“You know, people always question retirement for me and I’ve retired five times before and wholeheartedly meant it five times,” said Fury. “Successfully come back four times before and we’re going to find out on Saturday night if I’m going to be successful for the fifth time which I believe I will be…They all say my legs are gone. They all say my reactions are gone. Tune in and find out Saturday night cause I’m telling ya they’re not. I’m a knock this motherfucker spark out.”

Arslanbek Makhmudov

“To be honest, very excited to be in this kind of event, in this big show with big names,” said Makhmudov. “I’m very happy. Can’t wait for Saturday night.”

“I don’t have pressure because God prepared me for this moment all my life…This means a lot for me because God [started] to prepare me for this moment and I believe this is my time.”

Fight prediction

From Big Fight Weekend’s Ricky Carroll: Makhmudov has been more active than Fury, but even if we don’t see a peak Fury, the Brit should still have far too much for the heavy-handed Russian. Fury is known for his elite movement, and if he can do that effectively and pick his combinations, he should wear Makhmudov down. We are backing Fury to win by a wide unanimous decision.
