Queensberry Promotions announce Jazza Dickens vs Anthony Cacace

Queensberry Promotions have announced an intriguing St Patrick’s Day Weekend event for March 14. The newly crowned WBA World Super-Featherweight Champion, Jazza Dickens, will make the first defence of his title against Belfast fighter Anthony Cacace. The bout will headline a fight card in Dublin, with the undercard set to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Jazza Dickens vs Anthony Cacace to headline Queensberry Promotions card

Jazza Dickens vs Anthony Cacace will headline the Queensberry card at the 3Arena in Dublin, with Dickens’ WBA World Super-Featherweight title up for grabs.

This domestic dust-up should provide plenty of entertainment. This is a real 50/50 fight, which will see Dickens make his first defence after being elevated to the full champion following the decision by the WBA to strip Lamont Roch Jr. In his previous fight, Dickens (36-5, 15 KOs) produced a career-best performance, stopping then-unbeaten Russian Albert Batyrgaziev in the fourth round. The Liverpudlian was set to face Hayato Tsutsumi on the Naoya Inoue vs Alan David Picasso, but the Japanese fighter sustained a facial injury, leading to the cancellation of the fight.

Cacace (24-1, 9 KOs) stopped Leigh Wood last time out, backing up his wins against Josh Warrington and Joe Cordina. The Belfast fighter carries plenty of power, which he has shown in recent fights. Dickens is an awkward southpaw, defensively solid, and puts his punches together impressively. These two styles should mesh well.

In the co-main event, the exciting Irishman “Big Bang” Pierce O’Leary (18-0, 10 KOs) will face Mark Chamberlain (17-1-1, 12 KOs). They will meet for the vacant IBO World Super-Lightweight Championship in a fight that cannot be missed.

Frank Warren reacts to Jazza Dickens vs Anthony Cacace

Looking ahead to the March 14 clash in Dublin, Frank Warren said:

“We are starting 2026 with a bang,” said Queensberry Chairman Frank Warren. “Dublin has a rich boxing history, and there is no better time than St. Patrick’s Day weekend to bring world championship boxing back to the 3Arena. Jazza Dickens vs. Anthony Cacace is a phenomenal match-up between two of the best in the division, and Pierce O’Leary finally gets the big homecoming he deserves against a serious threat in Mark Chamberlain. This entire show will be live and exclusive on DAZN, ensuring fans across the globe can witness the atmosphere of a Dublin fight night.”
