When talking to Boxing Social about the options for Conor Benn (23-1, 14 KOs), Eddie Hearn discussed potentially fighting Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight title: “Yeah, we’ve spoken to PBC about the (Mario) Barrios fight. Obviously, we’re under contract to fight Chris Eubank Jr, so we do have to give him the opportunity to do that. November is a more likely date. We’ve said to His Excellency we will fight on that date, but we’re yet to hear confirmation yet.”

Hearn was then asked if there was a deadline to make the Eubank fight: “It’s 15 weeks away, so I would say within the next two weeks they’ll have to be a decision,” said Hearn.

Whether the rematch happens remains to be seen, but if it does, many will be tuning in, regardless of what is said on social media. Despite the uncertainty, it feels the rematch in November is more likely than a showdown with Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight title.
