Gervonta Davis vs Manny Pacquiao: Tim Bradley Breaks It Down

Most in the boxing world are fond of a hypothetical clash, whether it’s Sugar Ray Robinson vs Sugar Ray Leonard or Oleksandr Usyk vs Mike Tyson. Tim Bradley, who won world titles at super lightweight and welterweight, spoke to Fight Hub TV about the future of Gervonta Davis and discussed how he would fare against the newly returned Manny Pacquiao.

Ex World Champion Shares Bold Take on Pacquiao vs Davis

The return of Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KOs) was vilified by many, mainly due to his age and inactivity. However, he defied expectations against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios (29-2-2, 18 KOs), looking light on his feet and landing more power shots than his opponent (81-75).

Barrios finished the fight strongly, and that was enough for him to retain his title via majority draw, with scorecards of 114-114 x 2 and 115-113 in his favour. Speaking to Fight Hub TV, Tim Bradley made it clear he favours Pacquiao against the version of Tank we saw against Lamont Roach: “And I know all y’all Tank fans going to come. You don’t know. You going to see. I’m telling you. And if he get in that ring and he ain’t up here (points at head), if he ain’t all the way focused, bro, he going to get beat by Manny Pacquiao.

Uncertain Future for Gervonta Davis

“Yeah. If they going to do it, he going to get beat by Manny Pacquiao. If he ain’t all the way focused in the ring, bro. Seriously, so that’s my take on Tank man. I think he’s done. Uh, it’s the issues outside the ring. It’s the fact that he wants to change and he wants to, you know, he has a lot on his mind that he wants to do and he’s kind of sick of the sport of boxing,” said Tim Bradley.
