Jamaine Ortiz Signs New Co-Promotional Deal, Next Fight Announced on DAZN

CES Boxing and Boxlab Promotions have announced an intriguing co-promotional agreement with super lightweight contender Jamaine Ortiz (17-2-1, 8 KOs). The press release from Boxlab also reveals the next opponent and fight date for Ortiz with all parties reacting to the deal.

Ortiz Set for WBA Continental Title Clash

The first fight for Ortiz under this new promotional agreement will see agreement will see “The Technician” appear on Boxlab Promotions’ popular “Night of Champions” card, on November 1. The event will be shown live worldwide on DAZN.

His opponent will be the tough Mexican Gilberto Espinoza (13-2, 8 KOs) in a 10-round bout for the WBA Continental USA super lightweight belt. This is a make-or-break fight for Ortiz who was defeated by Teofimo Lopez in his previous fight. The Worcester resident will be eager to return to winning ways and begin to climb the world rankings again.

Reacting to the deal, Ortiz showed his excitement about the new agreement: “I’m really excited to be co-promoted by two great promoters like CES Boxing and Boxlab,” stated Ortiz. “This is the right move for me at this juncture of my career, and I’m confident that together, they will get me where I need to be in the sport. I’ve always had big goals, and this partnership will help me reach them. My fight with Espinoza is going to showcase what I’ve been working on, and I’m going to shine on the international stage.”

Jimmy Burchfield, Sr., Founder of CES Boxing also spoke on the deal and how highly he rates Ortiz: “This co-promotional partnership is a game-changer for Jamaine Ortiz and a great step forward for CES Boxing and Boxlab Promotions.”

This is a new chapter for Ortz and it is clear the hunger to reach the top is still there: “My goal is to get back into a world title fight, and I know that with the support of CES and Boxlab, I can get there,” concluded Ortiz. “It all starts on November 1st against a tough opponent in Espinoza, and I’m ready to put on a show for the fans and make my mark again,” said Ortiz.
