Turki Alalshikh Reveals Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk Rematch Date
On Saturday, May 18, heavyweight history was created – as Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) defeated Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to become the first undisputed champion in the division since Lennox Lewis. It was a memorable night filled with tension and back-and-forth drama. Recently, Fury’s promoter Frank Warren told Sky Sports about the rematch and reflected on the first fight: “I spoke to him [Fury] after the fight and obviously when he got back just to make sure he’s okay. He was very disappointed but very philosophical.”
He continued: “The rematch was signed before the first fight took place anyway…both fighters said they want it and we’ll go from there.”

Warren added: “It was a fabulous fight, two absolute gladiators who didn’t leave anything in the ring in an epic fight in the most important fight of the 21st century.”
Rematch Announcement
Warren also spoke about the potential size of a rematch: “A very, very close fight and I think it will be an even bigger one next time.”
Via his X account, His Excellency revealed the date for the Fury-Usyk 2: “The rematch between the Undisputed Champion Oleksandr Usyk and the Champion Tyson Fury is now scheduled on the 21 of December 2024 during Riyadh Season…The world will watch another historical fight again…Our commitment to boxing fans continues…We hope you enjoy it…”
