Ryan Garcia Last Three Fights

Ryan Garcia will be colliding with Gervonta “Tank” Davis in a high-profile fight set for April 22. The two undefeated bruisers will do battle inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Before the big showdown takes place, it’s important to take a look at “KingRy’s” last three fights, and how he’s improved since suffering the first knockdown of his career.

Ryan Garcia vs. Luke Campbell (January 2, 2021) – WBC Interim Lightweight Championship

Fight fans learned a lot about Ryan Garcia in his early 2021 bout against Luke Campbell. Garcia suffered a knockdown in the second stanza after Campbell landed a flush left hand. “KingRy” looked flat footed, but that didn’t stop him from dusting himself off and going back to work. Garcia landed a hard left hook that nearly dropped Campbell at the end of the fifth round. Garcia landed a devastating body shot in the seventh round that sealed the deal. Garcia won the fight via seventh-round KO, but he knew there was room for improvement.

Ryan Garcia vs. Emmanuel Tagoe (April 9, 2022)

Garcia took some time away from the ring to focus on his health. He returned to action and faced Emmanuel Tagoe. Throughout the fight, it was clear that Tagoe looked to frustrate Garcia by moving inside to take away his range. Unfortunately for Tagoe, his offense had little effect on “KingRy,” who knocked him down in the second round and eventually took a unanimous decision win.  Garcia showed tight defense, but also showed aggression after realizing Tagoe couldn’t hurt him. One would imagine that “KingRy” will have to demonstrate more patience when he meets “Tank” Davis.

Ryan Garcia vs. Javier Fortuna (July 16, 2022)

If Garcia had any ring rust in his fight with Tagoe, it went out the window for his bout with Javier Fortuna. “KingRy” wasted little time demonstrating his fast hands and punching power, which forced Fortuna to hesitate. In what was supposed to be the toughest test for Garcia, he ultimately pieced up Fortuna en route to a sixth-round KO win.
