Gervonta Davis Involved Baltimore Hit- Run Accident Early Thursday

Breaking news out of Baltimore, Maryland on Thursday afternoon, where Lightweight champion, Superstar Gervonta Davis has apparently been involved in a hit-and-run accident just before 2 a.m. in the morning.

WJZ-TV, the CBS affiliate in Baltimore, reported late morning Thursday that they had learned of the accident and some details:

Baltimore police were called to the scene of an accident at an intersection in South Baltimore where two vehicles collided after one had run a red light. There were several people in a vehicle left at the scene being treated for minor injuries with one being taken to a local hospital.

However, the vehicle running the red light left the scene. TMZ reported Thursday afternoon that the Baltimore authorities are looking for a 2020 Lamborghini SUV, Urus.

Davis owns just such a vehicle and was seen driving off Saturday night in San Antonio post-fight in it.

Police still will not confirm, if the Baltimore-native Davis was either in the vehicle at the scene or in the vehicle that left before authorities arrived?

However, WJZ reported they now have a source that says Davis was driving the SUV that ran the red light and left the scene.

If it’s determined that Davis was the driver, he will be facing a series of traffic charges and potential felonies for leaving a scene with injuries.

TMZ got a “no comment” from a Davis representative.

This only adds to the legal woes of Davis who was arrested earlier this year Super Bowl week in Miami Florida after a video showed him in a domestic violence battery incident with his girlfriend at a charity basketball game there.

In the video, the Baltimore native Davis could be seen approaching the female and grabbing her around her throat area while raising her out of a chair. Then, he stalked her back out of the main arena and public view with members of his entourage following him.

Davis was arrested and charged with domestic violence and that case has yet to be resolved.

The 25-year old Davis just scored one of the biggest wins of his career with a devastating sixth round, one punch knockout of four division World Champion, Leo Santa Cruz at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday night.

The win improved Davis to 24 – 0 with 23 KOs and was the first time in his career that he had headlined a Pay-per-view.

This latest traffic incident is in a long list of legal problems and arrest for Davis. This includes, an incident in February of 2019, when Davis was taken into custody after an altercation with another man at a Virginia shopping mall. Davis ended up paying restitution to the alleged victim and avoiding jail time in that case, which was resolved in October.

Davis has also been arrested two previous times before that on assault charges.

Davis is clearly a rising superstar in the sport but his inability to stay out of trouble continues to follow him in his out of ring career.
